Tayside Diesel Engineering Ltd offers fast, reliable maintenance and repair of diesel engines for the offshore, marine and industrial sectors.

We provide maintenance resources and technical management expertise in the conservation of all types of diesel engines, we achieve this through carrying out repairs, supplying spare parts and providing engine re-build services. We hold numerous franchise licences for multi-national engine manufacturers and have a highly skilled team of factory trained engineers who can work at company’s premises, on board marine vessels and offshore platforms. We have undertaken work across the globe winning contracts across Europe, North Africa and Central Asia.

Company History

Tayside Diesel Engineering was formed in June 1980 by 3 ex managers of Yarrow Engineers Ltd of Glasgow. The aim of the company was to partially fill the vacuum that was left by Yarrows in the ship repair and diesel engine markets. We started with the Scania Diesel agency for marine and industrial engines and Johnson Marine Pumps and have been successfully involved with a number of agencies since then. In 1987, the Company was awarded the MTU and Mercedes agencies for marine and industrial engines.
